This is a plantcestor workshop filled with insight on how these medicines have been around for thousands of years.

¡Holisss! Join M.E.Ch.A. de CSUSM for our upcoming General Body Meeting, where we will have our special guest, Dr. Marisa Salinas, give us a talk on Sexism in the Chicano Movement.

Come learn about the hxstory of sexism in the Chicano Movement, how it is still present today, and how we as young Chicanes can combat this. There will be a discussion portion as well, so come with your thoughts and any questions you may have!

Before the games begin, we’ll be sharing an important message about the land we live and learn on, honoring the indigenous communities who have inhabited it long before us.

-A space to learn, reflect, and have fun

Join MEChA for our Abordando Nuestros Derechos Worshop (Know Your Right Embroidery Wrokshop)

This Workshop will be lead by Cog•nate Collective (Amy Sanchez Arteaga & CSUSM professor Misael Diaz). They will teach participants basic embroidery techniques using materials that can help us defend our rights when confronted by immigration agents at our doorsteps.

This workshop is free and open to all skill levels!!!
All necessary materials will be provided!!

Join us on our Banda Dance workshop where you’ll be able to learn the basic steps, techniques, and tips on how to grab a dance partner.
