The Department of Communication at California State University San Marcos is a vibrant program that began in 1994. As a faculty, we are engaged teacher-scholars committed to excellence in teaching, producing cutting-edge socially relevant scholarship, and serving as leaders on campus or in the discipline of communication. Academically, we offer two majors Communication and Mass Media, two minors i

n Critical Intercultural Communication and Communication, and deliver the general education oral communication requirement. We boast approximately 800 majors and minors with dedicated faculty and staff.
