Texas state friends and family,

During the week of April 26th, the faculty and students of the School Improvement program will be hosting a discussion series to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the PhD in School Improvement. As part of our regular curriculum, we have invited national scholars and alumni of the School Improvement program to engage in provocative discussions about the origins of the program and the directions in which it is heading. Through this series of conversations, we hope to expand our imagination about how best to serve our students and communities. Further details with Zoom links will be available soon! Please share widely!

It's been awhile since we've shared what's going on with our EDCL master's program! We're back to share some pics of what our students (some now graduates) have been up to! This was our second Austin ISD district-partnership cohort from summer 2018 engaging in an interactive activity in EDCL 5347 Understanding Environments.

Today is the first day of the University Council for Educational Administration conference in Houston. Congratulations to Dr. Melissa A. Martinez, associate professor in CLAS, who will be receiving the Journal of Research on Leadership Education's Best Article award, along with her co-author Anjalé D. Welton.
