Remembrance Walk
Niagara County Community College and its office of equity, diversity, and inclusion will be honoring Orange Shirt Day by participating in the Remembrance Walk taking place at Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls on Saturday, September 30th at 11am. This walk provides an opportunity to show support for the memory of Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools that were designed to rob them of their families and heritage, some of whom didn’t survive. As a partner of the Native American community, NCCC is offering a shuttle service to and from the walk on Saturday. Please arrive at the front of the Learning Commons entranceway before 10:15 a.m. on the morning of the 30th to take advantage of this opportunity. After the walk, participants will be shuttled back to NCCC and dropped off at the same location. AGWA:IWA’HASDE’, ÖGWAYA’DAGÖHSOTA’

NCCC Native American club meetings will be held ACE conference center on Thursdays at 12:00.

We are extremely happy the Native American club at NCCC received the “Community Impact” award instituted by Niagara County Community College at the Thunderwolves awards night. It is nothing less than an absolute honor, and we must admit it took us aback. We are grateful for the club being recognized as we intend to live up to the level of success this award demands.
Thank you Nicolette, for all your contributions, as club president.Billy Jack accepted the award as current club president.
Good job students and alumni in ideas, planning, and efforts over the past 2 years.

Join us at our talking circle on Friday, February 18th from noon to 2 pm in the Dolce Valvo art center located in the learning commons. Jill Clause will be leading the talking circle and we will have food! The event is hosted by the Native American Club and is open to everyone. Hope to see you there!
