Where is the Power?

How often have you wished for power? The power to change circumstances, the power to heal, and the power to provide for those in need? So often we slip back into the mindset of hoping God will do something, while ignoring the reality of Christ in us.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph. 3:20)

The power of God is available to us because it resides IN US. That may sound unbelievable to some, but it is the truth, and until we acknowledge the truth we will continue to do without.

…that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (Philemon 1:6)

Do you know what good things are in you? If you are a born-again believer, you have the gift of righteousness, eternal life, the love of God, the joy of the Lord, peace that passes understanding, the authority of Jesus, the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit! You are well equipped for victory.

How can we access the “power that works in us”?

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak (2 Cor. 4:13)

What you believe is what you will speak. If you believe you are righteous, you will have no problem saying so. If you believe you have His peace, you will declare it. If you believe you were healed by His stripes, you will proclaim that truth. He can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we ask or think if we would simply release the power that is within us!

The electricity in your house is ready and waiting to bless you with lights, air conditioning, and clean clothes if you would simply hit the switch. The power is there. You don’t call the electric company and ask them to turn on your lights, and you don’t need to beg God to bless you. He has already blessed you! The power is in you. Believe and speak. Begin to reign in life!
