From Santa Ana College to CEO and Leader in the Aerospace Industry

Marcie Washburn is the CEO and President at Nycote Laboratories Corporation, a global leader in advanced surface protection technology for aerospace, automotive, and railway industries. Nycote Laboratories Corporation has been trusted for decades by Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and other OEMs worldwide.

She credits Santa Ana College for guiding her on the path that she is on today. After high school, she joined SAC because of its sense of community and the courses it offered.

🎥Santa Ana College, in collaboration with Pechanga Studios and Picture Motion, will be hosting a special screening of “People of the West” Episode 8: Red Power in honor of Native American Heritage Month on Thursday, November 19 in Phillips Hall. Opening reception starts at 6pm and screening begins at 7pm.

This episode centers the Red Power movement as a resurgence of Indigenous resistance, visibility, and self-determination in the mid-to-late twentieth century. In response to decades of termination, urban relocation, and systemic erasure, Native people, particularly youth and urban Native communities, organized to reclaim identity, land, culture, and political power.
