Santa Barbara City College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to join our nationally recognized Marine Diving Technology (MDT) Program, beginning Fall 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to California State Law any candidate must meet the following Minimum Qualifications:

1. Any Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, OR

2. Any associate degree and six years of professional experience, OR the equivalent

3. Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to all of the above. Candidates making an application on the basis of equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency

4. Graduated from the U.S. Navy Dive School or an Accredited Commercial Diver Training program by the start of Fall 2026 AND be able to obtain certification as an Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) Air Diving Supervisor.
