As many of you know, I'm retiring. My last day at the Media Center is tomorrow, 12/29. It's been a wonderful ride! I can't thank you all enough for your kindness, creative energy, and respect for the center and each other. You created and made this space flourish and I'm sure will continue to do so. I'll be dividing my time between Santa Barbara County and the Bay Area. You're always welcome to contact me via Facebook and, if you like, friend me so we can stay in touch. All the best in all of your future endeavors and, again, many thanks! Peace and joy to you all!

Thanks to everyone who has visited us at the Media Center in person or online these past weeks!
Hours for equipment check out and return:
Mondays: Closed for equipment check out and return, but otherwise the space is open
Tuesday-Friday: 9 to 4 open
Special arrangements may be possible.
Check out the attached flyer for the services we normally offer. We are currently limiting occupancy in the Media Center space to 12 and, because of campus masking requirements, the studio space is unavailable. This just in from the AS Elections Board Chair. In short VOTE and spread the word!

Hi all,

This year's AS election is ongoing at http://vote.as.ucsb.edu/. Turnout was at 5.76% at the end of the day yesterday, short of the pace we're going to need in order to reach the 20% voter turnout requirement by Thursday at 4pm.

Please remind your entity members about the election & post the vote.as.ucsb.edu link on your AS pages if you have a social media presence. (A quick post idea is sharing the IG stories on the account). If you lead an AS org/entity, all entities have a Legal Code duty to advertise this election & promote turnout.

There are candidates & AS fees on the line (some of which are reaffirmations from AS BCUs on this email list). We're going to need everyone's help to pull this election over the 20% requirement this year.

The ballot opens at 8:00am on Monday, April 19th for undergraduate and graduate students. It is scheduled to close at 4:00pm on Thursday, April 22nd.
