Happy Friday Vaqueros! We are so excited to announce that thanks to the collaboration of student services, in honor of Day of the Dead, there will be an exhibition of altars all over campus all week next week! PLUS, the Center for Equity and Social Justice will be having a workshop, “Appreciation, Not Appropriation: The Sacredness of Did de Mu***os” on Tuesday, November 1st at 12:00pm in room CC-228, where also pan de mu**to and refreshments will be provided!

Happy Friday everyone! Along with we will be having a Resume Building Workshop next Wednesday, October 19 from 1:30-2:30pm in the Umoja Center.
We are collaborating with the , who will lead this workshop on resume building, tips and tricks, and what to look for when applying to jobs.
You can also bring your resume to get it looked at as well as guidance on how to build one.
We will have food and snacks!

Hi Vaqueros! Here’s a little message from RISE:
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we in the Reimagining and Inspiring the Study of Englishes Program (RISE) are proud to present a weekly Chicana/Latinx Reading Series featuring 4 exciting authors working in different genres: Sara Borjas (Poetry), John Manuel Arias (Fiction), Monique Quintana (Non-Fiction), and Yosimar Reyes (Drama). These public readings are open to everyone, and will be recorded and shared on Youtube. Here's the calendar of events.

Chicana/Latinx Reading Series
Sara Borjas: Thursday, September 22nd, 5-6 p.m.
John Manuel Arias: Wednesday September 28th, 5-6 p.m.
Monique Quintana: Thursday October 6th, 5-6 p.m.
