Mission Bistro is a real restaurant operated by the Hospitality Management Department of Mission College in Santa Clara. Under the e guidance of Mr. Haze Dennis, students are taught every facet of the restaurant business, and lunch is served to the public Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30am -1pm. Free parking in "Lot C". The food is delicious and priced very reasonably. Please come visit and support the 'Bistro!

At Mission College, we mark this season with a Day of Gratitude, an invitation to slow down, appreciate our community, and share a little joy.

And sometimes that joy looks like a faculty member in an inflatable turkey suit making the rounds. 🦃✨ This is our type of Hospitality in action. 🙂

This is our turkey touring our hospitality management spaces, as only one of our turkeys could.

Yesterday Mission College Mission College Hospitality we were honored to host the Chaine des Rotisseurs US Pacific Northwest Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs (JCR) Competition.

The Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs (the Chaîne), the world's oldest and largest gastronomy and wine society.

The mission of this competition is to foster and highlight the culinary prowess of young chefs within the rich tradition of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. By providing a platform for young chefs to showcase their skills in a competitive setting, the event aims to encourage cultural diversity in food presentation and preparation using a traditional approach.

Competitors, all under 27 years old as of September 1st of the competition year, are tasked with planning, preparing, and plating a three-course meal within four hours, utilizing a mystery basket of ingredients alongside a conventionally stocked pantry.

Four Mission College students competed in the event: Vincente Gonzales-Archuleta, Sydney Ynez, Gabriel Salazar, and Philip Liu

Mission College Hospitality Management students also prepared lunch for our guests, judges, and participants.

Mission Bistro - Mission College is back for Spring 2024 and you are invited to our Grand Opening, tomorrow Tuesday, February 27, 2024!

Mission Bistro serves lunch on most Tuesdays & Thursdays during the Spring semester from 11:30am-1:00pm, in the Freeberg Hospitality Management Building dining room.

Entree Options ( 2/27/2024 - 3/7/2024):
Korean Short Ribs, White Rice & Cucumber-Kimchi - $14
Chicken Marsala with Pommes Puree - $12
Seared Salmon, Lemon Caper Sauce, Pommes Puree with Steamed Broccoli Spears - $13
Sweet n Spicy Cauliflower Florets with White Rice and Cucumber Kimchi - $9
Bistro Smash Burger - $10

Most of the menus this semester are in two week intervals.

The last time our department did this it was a chili competition and we WON!
