Meet Yoshua!

Yoshua is from the Netherlands, and as he grew up, he saw a need for sound biblical theology in the churches in his home country. He developed a desire to be trained as a pastor in order to meet that need.

While he was searching for a seminary to attend, Yoshua learned of The Master’s Seminary through a TMS alum. He was immediately inspired by the conviction and sound biblical theology of TMS. But in order to become a student there, Yoshua needed a bachelor’s degree.

Fortunately, The Master’s University had just the program: the five-year Master of Divinity, which combines a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from TMU with the M.Div. from TMS.

The Lord graciously provided the necessary finances, including scholarships, and Yoshua is now a student at TMU and working toward his desire for pastoral ministry.

“Two years ago I wasn’t even thinking about having the ability to afford a program like this,” Yoshua said. “God is faithful. That’s the thing I want to take away: God is faithful, even when I don’t feel it always.”

This month, head coach Annett Davis was inducted into the Southern California Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame. 🏆

Annett’s illustrious volleyball career has been marked by success at every level — from high school, to her time at UCLA, all the way to her representing the US at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Annett has since brought that same level of excellence to her coaching career at TMU, spurring her players to grow in their love for Christ and in their performance on the sand.
