Hey Everyone!
Here is another great internship opportunity from Santa Cruz Permaculture, which provides community development, land stewardship, holistic education, and eco-social design services for a thriving, just and sustainable world. They are looking to sponsor senior internships with qualified students interested in learning and practicing permaculture design in our community. This will include “dirt time” with gardening and land stewardship, as well as “social entrepreneurship” skills needed to run a successful business or non-profit organization. Interns will learn practical skills for personal and professional development that are applicable in a wide variety of fields.

Hey Everybody!
Farm Discovery at Live Earth Farm is offering amazing internships this quarter. Farm Discovery at Live Earth is a nonprofit organization working in to empower youth and families in the Pajaro Valley community to build and sustain healthy food, farming, social and natural systems. Our home, Live Earth Farm, is a 150-acre patchwork of working organic farm, riparian corridor, oak and redwood forest. Farm Discovery offers educational programs that inspire youth and families to transform their relationship to food, farming and nature. If there are any students that would like to intern/volunteer their time here and learn lots of fun stuff on the farm, they would really appreciate it!

Some of the field work help would include: preparing fields for spring growth, laying irrigation, broad forking/laying compost/ planting in the field, mucking animal pens, and general field/garden maintenance.

In partnership with the Recreation Office our FSWG and Basic Needs student team leads are offering fellow slugs some fun and skill building cooking classes each quarter. Spaces are still available for upcoming offerings so check-em out...We welcome intergenerational learning so staff and faculty welcomed to join students in our "Slugs in the Kitchen" Series featuring guest chefs and workshop hosts weekly Tuesdays at lunch and Wednesday for dinner! P.S. Scholarships are available when you register online if the $5 is a hardship as we want to encourage all life learners to the table :-)
