Thank you to everyone who joined us this past October for our 2024 Domestic Violence Awareness/Action Month (DVAM) events! We’re excited to share the finished collective painting you all contributed to during These Hands Heal: Reaching Across Cultures, Walls & Borders.

On the bricks, folks wrote what they’d like to change in this world, leave behind, and dismantle. On the flowers, people wrote what they want to grow, cultivate, imagine, and work towards for a safer, more equitable world!

As part of Domestic Violence Awareness/Action Month (DVAM) 2024, join CARE in writing letters of support to incarcerated survivors across the country. We invite UCSC students, staff, faculty, and community members to enjoy light refreshments and the exhibitions on view in the open gallery at the Institute of the Arts & Sciences! Pick up local and campus resources, the CARE Art Zine, and a poetry anthology from the Poetry Project in the Santa Cruz Jails. 📝🪻💜

Free parking is available, and the Delaware & Swift Street bus stop for the 20 Metro Bus is nearby.

UCSC CARE is excited to announce that our office is hiring again! 🌱 We are hiring for three positions, open to undergrad students—two work-study positions, a Peer Educator and a Creative Engagement Specialist, and one non-work-study Creative Engagement Specialist.
