The UCSC African American Theater Arts Troupe presents its 2022 production: ‘da Kink in My Hair by Trey Anthony, directed by Don Williams. The show will be performed live at the UC Theater Arts Mainstage from February 18-27, 2022 at 7:30pm (3pm on Sundays). This year, the Cultural Arts and Diversity Resource Center is partnering with the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) and the Student Alliance of Native American/Indigenous Peoples (SANAI).

Director's Note: "This drama tells the story of a Native family dealing with the loss of a family member whose spirit has come back to haunt them from the grave. The show includes mature themes including discussions of su***de and domestic and sexual abuse. Viewer discretion advised."

The Cultural Arts and Diversity Resource Center, The African American Theater Arts Troupe & the UCSC Theater Arts Department invites you to a Youtube viewing of School Girls; or the African Mean Girls Play by Jocelyn Bioh. Jocelyn Bioh’s award-winning comedy follows a group of schoolgirls vying for the title of Miss Ghana 1986.
Pretty, popular Paulina is the queen bee of the Aburi Girls Boarding School, but her reign is threatened when the pageant recruiter is more interested in Ericka, the new transfer student from Ohio with a “more universal and commercial look.”
Streaming March 4th-9th at 7:00PM PST. A live Cast & Crew Q&A will be hosted after the show on March 4th and 9th.
