The Campesinx Wombcare Project is a community led project that has distributed more than 1,500 womb care bags, assisted with rent, funeral expenses and many other donations to farmworker campesinx individuals throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties.

Led by Maria Ramos Bracamontes and Irene Juarez O’Connell, the Campesinx womb care project has been a true labor of love. Maria is an Indigenous Mexicana certified nurse-midwife, who has seen through her work the problems firsthand that largely affect the Mixteca farmworker population. Irene is an Artist and Social Justice Organizer, creator of the ‘Viva La Muxer’ logo for the project.
