The Empire College community is saddened by the recent passing of Professor Murray Cockerill. A member of Empire College School of Law's Class of 2008, Murray served as the Assistant Dean and Admissions Officer at Empire College School of Law, taught the Law School's Introduction to Law and Law Study and Exams courses, and was a highly regarded paralegal instructor who touched the lives of many Empire College School of Business students. Most recently, Murray has been heading up the Sonoma County Court's Self-Help Department, where he developed the court's Self-Help programs and supervised the court's research attorneys and a clinic for Empire law students.
Murray was a kind and compassionate friend. He was also a first-class legal scholar, loved the law and our Empire students, and passionately gave of his time and expertise to all who needed it. He will be sorely missed.
