Lucia Alonso '26 took home Rookie of the Year runner-up in Motion Graphics, and Lucy Hsiung '27 earned a "highly commendable" recognition in the same category.

16 of the 36 Rookie of the Year finalists in Motion Graphics were Ringling College Motion Design students or recent alumni. Congrats to Lucia, Lucy, and every Ringling Rookie who made the finalist list! So proud of what our Motion Design program continues to produce. 🏆

Ringling College has partnered with The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg to launch the Dalí Scholarship, awarding $30,000 in total to Florida high school artists selected from the Museum's student surrealist art competitions.

Mark your calendars! 🎬 Ringling College Film alumni Ethan Gathman '22 and Jorge Rodriguez '22 are bringing their debut feature film "Jit" back home to Sarasota for a special one-night screening!

"Jit" is a love letter to Florida and the uniqueness that it contains. While originally developing "Jit," Gathman and Rodriguez asked themselves, "What if the wild conspiracies a 'Florida Man' might dream up were true all along?" Using iconic imagery of local institutions, the film does just that.

This summer, Trinidad Monteagudo '27, Illustration, interned with Mural Arts Philadelphia, working on six murals going up across the city alongside 5 professional artists. She got to work in her favorite medium, traditional media, while building real connections in the field. That's a summer well spent. Congrats, Trinidad!
