We are mourning the loss of former Georgia Southern student William Gatch this week. He and his sister Whitley were with us for our Wexford Summer 2023 program. William was an engaging individual and such an asset to the program, whether it be presenting his research to our visiting alumni and Wexford friends, being interviewed at South East Radio, or participating in our many field experiences! Our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents, Mr. Jason Ashley and our colleague Dr. Delena Bell Gatch, his sister, and the rest of his family. In memory of William, we wanted to share some photos of him in Wexford. https://www.wtoc.com/2026/04/09/uga-student-dies-while-hiking-just-weeks-before-graduation/?fbclid=IwY2xjawRGIXNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFNaXR4bk9LUjAzdUUwU3Jsc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHpvxv0zq-fE7dpQl-o6qOSk2Rztt_55UZAJz___nm1tl4oSMUAmzkeVunTX8_aem_SeSPsRQ_QQbHem0y8vNdSQ
