Our Engineering Studies Program provides students with opportunities to earn an associates of science degree in engineering, participate in internships, undergraduate research projects with faculty, and transfer to top-ranked engineering programs through the Regents' Engineering Transfer Program. The Engineering Studies Program is structured to provide students with the necessary courses and educa
tion to transfer, as a junior, to a bachelor’s level engineering program at Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Southern University, University of Georgia, or Kennesaw State University through the Regents’ Engineering Transfer Program (RETP) or at any other accredited engineering school, provided certain GPA requirements are met. Students who attend Georgia Tech can complete Bachelor of Science degrees in aerospace, biomedical, chemical and biomolecular, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, materials science, or nuclear and radiological engineering at Georgia Tech’s Atlanta campus. Learning takes place in a friendly, small college environment, where students can obtain individual help from and maintain close contact with professors outside their classes. Armstrong is a medium-size university where academics take the top priority. Small classes taught by dedicated professors provide an excellent academic environment. Students have many opportunities for internships due to the location of the university and opportunities to participate in undergraduate research projects with faculty. Our students have a strong track record of success once they transfer to a partner institution. In fact, it is not uncommon for our students to retain their Armstrong GPA once they transfer to Georgia Tech or Georgia Southern.
