Specialty crops such as fruits, nuts, berries, vegetables and potatoes are a diverse part of Missouri’s agricultural economy.
In 2022, 4.1% of Missouri farms were growing specialty crops—spanning 44,360 acres across 3,632 farms and generating an impressive $268.7 million in sales.
While states like California, Florida, Texas and Michigan lead the nation, Missouri holds its own:
