We proudly attended Alpha Iota Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and The 2nd Annual R&B Bingo and what a time it was! 🎤🎵 From great vibes to even better company, the night was filled with laughter, good music, and community connection.

Alpha Iota Sigma Philo Affiliate stands in love, purpose, and solidarity as we honor and uplift Black mothers everywhere. This week is a powerful reminder that every mother deserves safe, respectful, and equitable care before, during, and after childbirth.

We stand committed as we:
🌸 Raise awareness about maternal health disparities
🌸 Celebrate the strength, resilience, and beauty of Black motherhood
🌸 Advocate for change, access, and equity in healthcare
🌸 Support and protect our sisters, families, and future generations

Black women are three times more likely to experience pregnancy-related complications and that is a call to action we cannot ignore.

Over the past weekend, the Alpha Iota Sigma Philo President, Vice President, and Treasurer had the pleasure of attending our very first Regional Conference and what an unforgettable experience it was!

The 86th Southeastern Regional Conference, held April 9–12, 2026 in Nashville, TN, themed “The Sounds of Sisterhood,” was truly one for the books. From the powerful sisterhood to the meaningful fellowship, every moment was amazing.

We are especially proud of the SER Philo Affiliate for showing up strong with 132 Philos in attendance a record-breaking number! 💛🤍

Of course, we came ready to handle Philo business, and we did just that while also creating lasting memories along the way.

The conference was hosted at the beautiful Ga***rd Hotel & Resort in Nashville an incredible venue filled with breathtaking views. Yes, there was plenty of walking, but every step was worth it to experience such a stunning atmosphere!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing, loving, and caring Advisor, Monika Hayes, for your continued support and guidance.

This was just the beginning… we’re already looking forward to the next one! ✨
