Our partnerships here on campus result in impact!

CEAR Hub and CEISMC Savannah, which is part of the Georgia Tech College of Lifetime Learning, joined efforts to help the Pin Point neighborhood.

Pin Point is a a small enclave of Chatham County with deep roots in the heritage of the Gullah Geechee people, descendants of Africans enslaved on rice, indigo, and cotton plantations on isolated barrier islands on our coast.

Today, the community faces mounting threats from climate change, severe weather impacts, and coastal development.

This partnership, with a focus on youth, brings hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and real-world applications that will allow the next generation to be equipped to continue to work toward lasting change.
