History major and all star Gabby Baratier made this fantastic Story Map and Walking Tour of the LGBTQ+ history of Schenectady's Stockade. Check it out and congrats to Gabby and the Schenectady County Historical Society!

️‍🌈 Over the summer, our museum assistant, Gabby Baratier created "Mapping the LGBTQ+ History of the Stockade," a digital exhibition looking at the LGBTQ+ history of the Stockade Historic District. Today, we're pleased to share the interactive StoryMaps experience with you!

Gabby's work included crowdsourcing information from Stockade residents via Google Forms, conducting in-person, semi-structured interviews with various Stockade residents, and completing archival research.

Proving you never know who you will see in NYC! History Professor Joyce Madancy and two alum History majors, Matt Giarratana '23 and Dana Donati '16 at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, where both work. Dana is the Director of Volunteer and Intern Operations, and Matt is working to recruit more veterans to the volunteer force at the museum. She said it was fantastic to see them, and they had an incredible tour!
