Penn State Schuylkill celebrated the third annual Nursing Pinning Ceremony as 29 nursing graduates received their pins and prepared to begin the next chapter of their journey. 🩺💙

The ceremony honored the dedication, resilience and compassion these students demonstrated throughout their time in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. From the lighting of the lamp to the recitation of the nursing pledge, the evening marked a meaningful tradition welcoming the Class of 2026 into the nursing profession.

Saturday’s commencement ceremony celebrated graduates from a variety of academic programs as they officially became the newest members of the Penn State alumni family. 🎓🦁

Keynote speaker Mike Rhoades, Penn State men’s basketball head coach, encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning, continue growing, and chase their dreams. Student speaker Victoria Grimm reminded her classmates to stay curious, brave and confident as they move into their next chapter.

Join us on May 14 for “Harvesting Insights: Using Data and AI to Map Local Food Needs,” a community-focused roundtable exploring innovative ways to better understand and address food insecurity across our region.

Participants will engage in collaborative discussions, learn about AI use cases, network with community partners over lunch, and help shape future food access strategies in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
