Hundreds of job seekers attended a job fair today at The Communiversity where about 40 employers accepted resumes and spoke with applicants. The Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security sponsored the event with assistance by our WIOA Career Services Department. The job fair, which ended at 1 p.m., was free and open to the public. Thanks to the employers who participated and best wishes to all of the job seekers.

CONGRATULATIONS: EMCC Vice President of Finance & Administration/Chief Financial Officer Dr. Tammie Holmes has been named president of the Mississippi Association of Community College Business Managers. Holmes was nominated for the position and elected by her peers in finance administration at Mississippi’s 15 public community colleges. As president, Holmes will serve as the chief presiding officer for the collective group of community college CFOs in the state. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4he9KV8
