The days are getting longer, the sun is shining, and it's 2 degrees F. outside - perfect time to start your garden....indoors! And the Marywood Seed Library will be opening soon to help your garden grow from the ground up!
In addition to the wonderful selection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds, this year we will have some Milkweed seeds, to help feed our Monarch Butterfly population.
The Seed Chest will be stocked full of a good variety of vegetable & flower seeds by the end of next week, so grow some springtime on your windowsill! And as always, seeds are FREE!
Happy Gardening!

Calling all gardeners!! The Pacer Pantry, located on the side of Emmanuel Hall (ground floor) on University Avenue (directly behind Madonna Hall), right here on Marywood's campus, is accepting donations of fresh produce!

So, if find yourself with an overabundance of fresh veggies from your end-of-summer harvests . . . or you just couldn't pass up the great price for that entire bushel of tomatoes, potatoes or apples at the Scranton Farmer's Market, but realize you just can't eat them all. . . please keep the Pacer Pantry in mind!

That's what gardening is all about, sharing the bounty with others!

Well, it's that time of summer to let all of you wonderful people out there know that the Marywood Seed Library will be closing its drawers (😉) for the remainder of 2021. We had a very successful year of seed sharing! More than 80 gardeners visited and borrowed from our Seed Library this year! We love seeing more and more people of all ages become interested in gardening, and we are more than happy to share our bounty of seeds with all of you, absolutely FREE!
We'd love to hear from you: your successes, failures, the seeds you've tried this year...send us some pictures, and post your comments right here on the Marywood University Library & Learning Commons website.
Please let us know what you think of our Seed Library - would you like to see it continue to grow and offer a large variety of seeds? Are there certain seeds you wish the Seed Library offered this year? More flowers? More vegetables? Let us know here on the MULLC page, or you can email [email protected].
Thank you for your love of gardening, and we'll hopefully see all of you Spring 2022. Happy Gardening ~ ChrisZ
