The University of Scranton Office of Community Relations The Office of Community Relations serves as the University’s link with the Greater Scranton area.

The Office of Community Relations is the University’s liaison with area residents, neighborhood groups, community organizations and government bodies in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and particularly the City of Scranton. The Office provides resources to help students, parents, faculty, and staff to become part of the community.

Community Partners! Do you need anything to be designed and built to improve the functionality and impact of your facility? Then this post is for you!

Engineering course is seeking to support community partners as part of their Community-Based Learning course!

Project Types include:
-A system/machine that should exist somewhere but has not been fabricated yet
-A modification to a device that would make it much better
-An accessory to an already existing machine you have on site
-A system that improves the quality of life for your stakeholders (ex. older adults, people with disabilities, patients, customers, service providers, etc.)

The Office of Community Relations had a great afternoon supporting the community fair at Scranton Housing Authority's Hilltop Manor. We were part of a group of community partners offering resources, school supplies, information and activities. Also on hand were U of S faculty part of the "Hill Session" local band comprised of neighbors in the Hill Section. Wishing all of our friends at Hilltop a great end of summer!
