Project Rikki

Project Rikki Project Rikki combines reader's theatre and physical theatre in an ageless style of storytelling bringing a classic story to new light for a new audience.

We, at Project Rikki have a little tradition. After every rehearsal, we close by shouting "astra inclinant sed non obligant," "the stars incline, they do not oblige." This means, no matter what a person is naturally inclined to do, it is the choices they make that define them. We have worked hard to grow as an ensemble, to build up each other and bring our audience the messages we so much care about.
Thank you to everyone that came out to support us this weekend.
We leave you with these parting words.
Astra inclinant sed non obligant. The stars incline, they do not oblige.

The ensemble has been hard at work the past few months developing Rikki, but their involvement doesn't end there. Many in the RTT Ensemble are active in social clubs, are studying in demanding fields, and over half of them are involved in other productions in Searcy. Harding University's upcoming production of "Shrek the Musical" will open next week with one ensemble member on stage and several backstage. Be sure to buy tickets and support your favorite mongoose, bird, muskrat, snake, or human and all of their friends.

"I have worked on some thirty shows in the past three years, and I never fail to be amazed at the power an actor/actress has to grow. The audience only sees the final product, but the actor's journey to that product is a beautiful epic in and of itself. That is why I love theatre. This show is no execption. In just six weeks, I have seen these individuals morph into a skilled ensemble. We aren't even close to the final product yet, and that is a beautiful thing." -Angela Duggins, RTT Director

Fun fact: Female cobras typically lay between 20-40 eggs at a time, and that's no yoke.
