=================================
We are the Active Market Readers (AMR) of UW, if you love researching and analyzing, you're going to love this.
As implied by the name, we closely follow real-world global financial markets and international economies, as we make sense of how all the factors correlate with each other and attempt to predict how the markets behave.
The markets we analyze include:
- Global equity markets (US, EU, Asia, Emerging markets etc.)
- Foreign exchange (EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CNY and etc.)
- Global bond markets
- Global commodity markets
- Global economies.
We cover the statements of the national central banks such as the US Federal Reserve, study how global markets are affected by the Fed's decisions, and attempt to anticipate future market behavior. Moreover, we have an internal foreign exchange demo trading contest to encourage students to immerse themselves into trading and see how finance can be applied in the real world.
Interested in how the Greek debt crisis or the Chinese equity market crisis happened? Want to know how they might affect the global economy?
Or are you interested in knowing what financial professions like private wealth managers, investment bankers, financial analysts, financial planners, do and how you can prepare to enter of of these professions?
Please find out more about AMR from this page!
