โIโve lived in Florida for the last 11 years post-grad, and currently work for a local college in grant management and college recruitment. I also own a small holistic apothecary called Omi Meji, thatโs dedicated to self care through aromatherapy & beauty. Iโm currently the Marketing Chair of the North Florida Alumni Association in the Southeast Region. I am an artistic and creative person; a dancer, photographer, and graphic designer in my free time.โ

โIt would have to be when my LS/best friend and I reunited. My deuce & I went to school together from 1st-6th grade, then I moved away. Fast forward 6 years, itโs our freshman year at UW. We had a social with the Gammas and went around the room to introduce ourselves. As soon as she said her name I remembered her, then it got round to me & it was an โOMG I KNOW YOU!!โ moment. And weโve been best friends ever since! ๐ฉทโ

โBeing an active member really can prepare you for life post-college. Take time to use running the chapter as an opportunity to develop soft skills. So much of what we do to run a chapter translates to soft skills that are heavily valued in the workforce.โ
