The Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, located in Oklahoma City, on Nov. 17. Students unloaded, weighed and packaged food to help families facing food insecurity issues. When the students had finished, they had packaged enough food for 4,575 meals. PLC Students packed for the Food for Kids Backpack Program. In total the students packed food into 1,830 bags, weighing more than 5,400 pounds.

PLC Students and Forester Riley Coy of the Oklahoma Forestry Services before going on a 1.5 hike at Lake Thunderbird. Students heard from Forester Coy about trees and other flora in the area as well as the state.

The Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, located in Oklahoma City, on Nov. 9. The thirty-five students unloaded, weighed, and packaged food to help families facing food insecurity issues. The students split into two groups, one group prepared poblano peppers and the other packaged breakfast cereal. In total the students completed 214 cases of food, weighing nearly 3,000 pounds. When the students had finished, they had packaged enough food for 2,460 meals.
