⭐️McKenna Diaz is from Houston Ms and is majoring in Sports Medicine.
She is involved in Orientation Leaders and Pathfinders at Northwest. She enjoys spending time with family and friends going out to eat and shopping and going to church with family also recruiting new students
❤️Advice for New Rangers:
“Don’t be scared, be open. You never know who you could meet and become the best of friends with. Also get involved and known on campus.”

⭐️Clayton Williams is from Hernando he loves to hang with family and friends, vacationing, and fishing. He is involved in Orientation Leaders and RA’s at Northwest.
❤️Advice for New Rangers:
“Oh I would say always put yourself out there. Join anything you have time for as in path finders or orentation leader. These things help you to meet new people and friends and help get you comfortable with your new home. Northwest is what you make it so don’t leave here regretting you did more!”

⭐️ De’Miyia Walker is from Macon, Ms and is majoring in Nursing at Northwest. She is involved in Northwest Dance Team & OL. She loves to bake/cook, hang out with her friends and listen to music.

Happy Thursday! We still have so many wonderful OLs for you to meet, here’s 3 more!😁

⭐️Larry Shaw is from Greenville, MS, and is majoring in Business Management Technology. He is currently involved with being an Orientation Leader, working with NWCC Sports Information & Film, and a SGA Member. He loves graphic design, fashion, and cameras.
❤️Advice for Future Rangers:
“Be open-minded, be willing to try new things, and meet new people. Step out of your comfort zone because you never know what amazing opportunities might be waiting on you.”

⭐️Lizanne Ales is from Cleveland, ms, and she is majoring in elementary education. She is involved in NWCC band, NWCC jazz band, orientation leaders, BSU, and Rangers for Christ. She loves baking, hanging out with friends and family, reading, and playing pickleball as well as tennis.
❤️Advice for Future Rangers:
“My encouragement for new students at Northwest is being unafraid to be completely and uniquely who they are and nothing less than that!”

⭐️Teranecia Edwards is from Greenville ms, and she is majoring in pre-nursing. She is involved in orientation leaders and nwcc dance team. She loves going shopping and hanging out with friends and family.

“Always be yourself. There’s a mixture of all types of people at NWCC. Joining clubs and organizations is another great way to meet new people and get involved. Also, use all the resources available around campus, such as the writing center and math lab.

Speaking of orientation… let’s meet more of your leaders!!👟

⭐️Evelyn Segura is from Tunica, MS and is studying Nursing at Northwest. She is involved in Resident Assistants and Orientation Leaders.
She loves hanging out with friends and family, shopping, and doing my friends nails for fun!
❤️Advice for new rangers:
“I would tell new students at NWCC that college is the best time for a new beginning, make it the best experience and create new friendships and new memories!”

⭐️Tavarus Mays is from Independence, MS and he is majoring in Business Administration. He is involved in Orientation Leaders and loves going to the BSU at NWCC. He enjoys hanging out with friends and making new ones, dancing, drawing, thrifting/shopping and going to Church.
❤️Advice for New Rangers:
“To succeed in college, focus on your classes and ask for help when needed, socialize and get involved in campus activities to make friends, and take care of yourself by balancing work and rest.”

Who’s ready for summer?! Our OLs are!!💪

⭐️Dustin Hopkins from Potts Camp, Mississippi, and is studying Criminal Justice. He is involved in Pathfinders and BSU. In his free time, he enjoys building Legos, going fishing, and hanging out with my buddies.
❤️Advice for Future Rangers:
“Get involved in a club or organization because it is one of the best ways to meet people and make friends.”

⭐️Jade Fletcher from Olive Branch, MS and is studying Nursing. She is involved in Phi Theta Kappa, Member of the Northwest Dance Team, Member of Pre- Health Society, and orientation leaders. She enjoys Painting, Drawing, Doing Nails, Dancing, Pickle Ball, Exercising.
❤️Advice for Future Rangers:
“My main suggestion for new students is to attend absolutely every event and join every club that you can. This will allow you to meet new people and to make friends. Otherwise, being a new student on campus can become lonely very quickly. So to ensure the best experience get involved and be an active student.”

⭐️Wenn Sanders is from Hernando, MS and she is majoring in biomedical engineering. She is involved in FCA, Pathfinders, PTK, Orientation Leaders, and is on the soccer team here at Northwest. She was also named Miss Northwest this year! She loves to go on walks, hangout with friends and family, and sing in church.

“Make the most of your time here because it goes by so fast! GET INVOLVED!!! Be intentional about the people you surround yourself with and you’ll thrive at Northwest. Go Rangers!!”

Need a pick me up? Meet more fabulous OLs you get to tour with this summer!🤩

⭐️Amare Brown is from Amory, MS, And he is majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications. He is involved in Ranger Tv Broadcasting and a Resident Assistant at NWCC. He loves doing Sports Videography, Playing Basketball with Friends, and Listening to Music
❤️Advice for Future Rangers:
“I would encourage new students to get involved, meet new people, and stay true to themselves to make the most out of their experience at college.”

⭐️Aven Matthews is from Columbus, Mississippi, and majoring in Elementary Ed. She is involved on the Northwest Women’s Soccer team and in Orientation Leaders. She loves hanging with her friends, shopping, and meeting new people!

“My best advice for new rangers would be to get involved on campus by joining groups like FCA, or participating in the many student activities and clubs on campus!”

Let's meet a few of our Orientation Leaders!!

⭐Justice Pope is from Pope, MS, and she is majoring in Elementary Education. She is involved in Pathfinders, Orientation Leaders, Resident Assistant, and the Student Government Association at NWCC. She loves hanging out with friends/family, being on TikTok, traveling, and shopping.
❤️Advice for New Rangers: "Don't be afraid to try new things and meet new people! You never know what opportunities can come before you! Get involved and most importantly have fun to make the best memories possible!"

⭐Cody Rivera is from Southaven, MS, and is majoring in biomedical science. He is involved in PTK, disciplinary hearing committee, pre health society, content creator team, theatre, pathfinders, and orientation leaders. Cody was also recognized as Mr. NWCC Senatobia as well as hall of fame 2025-2026. He loves to spend time with his friends, as well as go on hikes.
❤️Advice for New Rangers: "Make sure to do as much as you can. These memories won't come back so don't take any of this time for granted."

⭐Abigail Busby is from Holly Springs, MS, and is majoring in biology pre-med. She is involved in orientation leaders, pathfinders, and PTK at NWCC. Abigail loves going to the lake, hanging out with friends and family, and listening to music.

3 more OLs you get to meet to start your Monday!🫵🏼

⭐️Evie Horton is from Nesbit Mississippi, but she was born in Jackson, Mississippi. She is majoring in general college and plans to pursue a bachelor’s in child life after she graduates from Northwest. She attends the DeSoto campus and works for their Writing Center, in Phi Theta Kappa, and she is a Pathfinder. She loves to read, drink coffee, play piano, and spend time with friends and family.
❤️Advice for New Rangers:
“I would love to encourage new students to not be afraid to put themselves out there, especially if they are going into college by themselves. They shouldn’t worry or be afraid to make new friends. Northwest is a welcoming place and they are bound to meet friends and find support. They should find a club they enjoy. The Baptist Student Union or Rangers for Christ are great groups to find kind, loving people. They should do whatever they can to get involved on campus and in a supportive group, and if they do that they are bound to meet people they will love, and they may meet a lifelong friend.”

⭐️Keylan Bibbs from Courtland, Ms. My major is sports management and I’m involved in orientation leader and pathfinders here at NW. I enjoy listening to music and hanging with friends.
❤️Advice for new rangers:
“Get connected on campus and meet as many new people as you can because that can open many doors and help you network.”

⭐️Kimberly Hogwood is from Olive Branch, MS, and she is majoring in business with aspirations of becoming a lawyer. She is involved in Orientation Leaders, a member of the National Champion Dance Team, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She loves dancing, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, and getting crafty!
❤️Advice For New Rangers: “I would love to encourage all new students to utilize all the scholarship opportunities that are available at Northwest. Don’t miss those important deadlines because they are a big help!”
