We’re ONE DAY away from Benjamin Network Weekend! We’re excited to announce that Nicky Campbell, C’99, will be welcoming you all back to the mountain on Saturday afternoon!



Nicky Campbell was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She came to the U.S. as a Desmond Tutu Scholar. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Sewanee and an M.P.S. from the Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has spent more than two decades working in higher education and local and international community development. Campbell currently serves as the Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students at Sewanee. She has previously held numerous positions at Sewanee, including Assistant Director of Admission, Director of Residential Life, Director of Community Development in a joint position between the Office of Civic Engagement and the South Cumberland Community Fund, Assistant Vice President of Government and Strategic Partnerships, and, most recently, Chief of Staff for Sewanee’s Vice-Chancellor and President.

We’re excited to announce this year’s Benjamin Network Weekend keynote speaker, Dr. Renia Dotson (C’88)!


Dr. Renia Dotson, C’88, serves as Chair of the Board of Regents at the University of the South, where she helps guide institutional strategy, governance, and long-term stewardship. A committed advocate for representation, equity, and the flourishing of Black students and alumni, she brings both professional expertise and personal dedication to strengthening the Sewanee community. Her work reflects a deep belief in legacy, leadership, and creating pathways that honor those who came before while empowering those who follow.

DJ IB JohnDoe first came to the mountain in 2016 and has made it home ever since. A graduate of the Univ. of Tennessee and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He currently resides in Memphis, TN where he is a resident DJ for some of Memphis’ hottest nightclubs and events nationwide. DOE serves as a radio mixshow DJ for HOT 107.1 (Memphis) and Streetz 99.3.
