The Chemistry department wishes you a happy and safe Halloween and Homecoming weekend! Our annual Halloween lunch included fun costumes, Mountain Goat pizza, sweet treats, and an intense game of Jeopardy!

Congratulations to Sanjana Priyonti and Anne-Riley Price for winning the First-Year Chemistry award! This award was announced this past weekend during the Advent Convocation ceremony! Another congratulations to all students who joined the Order of the Gown and Phi Beta Kappa!

Our first meeting for the 2025-2026 School year is tomorrow! We will be meeting in Spencer 262 at 12:30 to talk about our plans for the upcoming school year! We can’t wait to see you there!

Reading day was a success! Some of our chemistry club members took a trip to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to understand the role chemistry plays in forensics. Back in Sewanee we hosted our annual reading day slime event to provide some pre-exams stress relief!

Scholarship Sewanee was last Friday and two senior chemistry majors Sarah Livingston and Lanning Wright presented their research. We are wishing the best of luck to these two seniors and all Senior Chemistry majors! Thank you .earley5 for these wonderful pictures!
