We can’t believe June is almost over already!

As we look back on this past year, we’re remembering fun moments like our end-of-year Micah Scholars party—complete with paint-by-numbers, games, and lots of laughs. 🎨🎲

We were also so glad to have several of our pre-health faculty join us, including Dr. John Jurchen, Dr. Kristy Jurchen, and Dr. Raegan Skelton!

We’re so thankful for the memories made this year and can’t wait to welcome Micah Scholars back to campus soon! 💙

Some of our Micah Scholars had the sweetest hands-on learning experience recently 🐑💛

We had the opportunity to visit a local hobby farm in Bee, NE, owned by Concordia University, Nebraska alum, Haley Nelson Kindrex, where students spent time with lambs and learned what daily life looks like caring for them. With two of our scholars pursuing Pre-Vet paths- and several others curious to explore- it was such a meaningful experience!

Students learned about:
• The breeding process
• Newborn sheep care 🐑
• What sheep labor looks like (and when assistance is needed)
• General care and management
• Common illnesses and health concerns

It was a fun, informative, and memorable day—full of learning and lots of lamb cuddles!
