OBU Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program

The Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program at Oklahoma Baptist University is offered in Shawnee, Broken Arrow and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Our mission is to train marriage and family therapists in a relational and systemic approach, fostering cultural humility and equipping them for compassionate, ethical practice rooted in the Christian values of honoring God and caring for others. The program trains students to provide therapeutic services from a relational and systemic perspective in counseling agencies, schools, hospitals, church

es, on the mission field and in private practice. OBU’s MFT graduate program prepares students to apply their professional skills from a Christian perspective in order to bring healing to families, couples and individuals.

The first few weeks of the semester have been full of hands-on learning and connection, just before the snowstorm hit. Some of our MFT students connected with new faculty member Dr. Carver in class such as Practicum Supervision, began Family and Individual Assessment with Dr. Crane, and practiced curiosity through learning and using the BPSS framework. We look forward to seeing continued growth, learning, and clinical development throughout the semester.
