There's a lot of history under this roof. Over 100 years of manufacturing. Making Shelbyville "Pencil City" The manufacturing of all types of pencils: carpentry, golf, hex, round, jumbo, custom printed. Also the custom machines that produce these pencils. Machines that were made by their in house machinists and machines made here in Shelbyville by JC Gordon at Wego Precision Machine. Great for these students to see how machinists build and maintain this equipment.

It was great attending the South Central Regional Machining Competition! So awesome to see everyone come together to support these young men and women.

Tullahoma High School, Franklin County High School and Coffee County High School competed in Manual Lathe and Manual Mill skills competitions. Great seeing these students' progress in this industry.

Thank you to our local CTE Directors Suzanne Mitchell of Franklin Co. HS and Jessie Kinsey of Tullahoma HS for organizing the event with our local industry partners!

Thank you Derek Swiger THS, Jerry Paradise FCHS, and Chris Williams CCHS for teaching this next generation of machinists!
