No power outage can stop us! Despite the disruption to the grid, over 350 people gathered on Saturday to celebrate winners of the regional Scholastic Writing Contest. These young writers' achievements were recognized with Gold and Silver Keys, and the top students shared their poetry, personal essays, and fiction. Ship's English department supports students as they raise their voices!

At the International Women's Day event, Dr. Laurie Cella was awarded the Women's and Gender Studies Spotlight Award for her tireless work to advocate for students. The English department, as a whole, and Drs. Nicole Santalucia and Jordan Windholz, in particular, were also awarded the Director's Legacy for their work to ensure access to free menstrual products across campus!
