We are very excited to introduce our Rising star interns for the summer! Throughout the summer, you'll see updated from them on what they are up to across Northwest Iowa. We hope you'll help us give them a warm welcome!

Hi! My name is Claire Onions and I am a Rising Star Intern for Osceola County! I'm from Bettendorf IA and am majoring in architecture. My project this summer is to redesign the Osceola County office space to be more functional and better serve the community! A fun fact about me is that I love to sew! I am currently making a quilt in my spare time.

I’m Megan Burket, an ISU Extension and Outreach Rising Star Intern in Northwest Iowa. I’m from Grimes, IA, and I am majoring in Graphic Design. This summer, I’m working on a marketing survey to help Extension connect with more people. A fun fact about me is that I love drawing people.

Hello! My name is Kaitlynn Lawson, and this summer I will be working on youth development across Region 1 through daycare programs and community events. I am excited for the opportunity to share my passion for education, leadership and agriculture with youth and communities throughout the region. Fun fact: I served as the 2023 Clay County Pork Ambassador!
