Registration is open for the Iowa 4-H Fishing Club! The club focuses on Iowa's aquatic ecosystems, improving fishing techniques, career exposure and promoting environmental stewardship. Whether you're looking to become a skilled angler or just want to try a new outdoor hobby, this program will enhance your connection to nature and foster a lifelong passion for fishing!

Open to youth in grades 4-12, on year of membership is $45 and includes eligibility for all tournaments. Prizes will be awarded to tournament winners! Enroll here: https://www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/4-h-online

Don't forget to register!!

We're excited to continue our Northwest Iowa Local Loop on September 10, 2026, in O'Brien County! We'll start by touring The Kitchen + Bath Studio a one-stop shop for kitchen, bathroom, flooring, and tile needs! Then we'll head over to Solsma's Punkin Patch, with around 65 kinds of pumpkins, gourds, and squash, along with beautiful mums, ornamental and broom corn; there's something for everyone!

Lunch is on your own, but we recommend checking out somewhere local like The Grain House or Jay's Restaurant in Sanborn. The Daily Grind in Hartley, or The O'Brien County Pub, Smolders Brew, Pro-Go Convenience Store, and Pizza Ranch in Primghar.

Register by 4 p.m. on September 8. Register early as space is limited to 25 participants. Call 712-957-5045 or visit the link in the comments to register.

Please join us in congratulating Charlotte Rollefson, East Holman Wildcats/Midwest Settlers 4-H Club leader and Horse Superintendent, on being inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair!

For more than 30 years, Charlotte has dedicated her time, energy, and heart to the Osceola County 4-H program. Through her dedication, knowledge, and leadership, Charlotte has helped countless young people build confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills.

Her commitment to 4-H has made a lasting impact on generations of youth and families throughout Osceola County. We are grateful for all she has done to support and strengthen our local 4-H program and are proud to see her receive this well-deserved honor.
