📣 Exciting Program Announcement!
Associate Degree in Engineering Fundamentals – Welding Concentration
Launching Fall 2026 at Greenville Technical College
I am proud to share that I have completed the full curriculum design for a brand-new program at Greenville Technical College. Beginning Fall 2026, GTC will officially offer an Associate Degree in Engineering Fundamentals with a Concentration in Welding.
This program was developed to meet the growing regional and national demand for highly skilled welding professionals with strong engineering foundations. Students will gain:
A rigorous grounding in engineering principles,
Advanced welding processes and applications,
Hands-on laboratory experience in cutting-edge welding and fabrication technologies.
Industry-aligned competencies that prepare graduates for in-demand technical careers or transfer opportunities.
This marks a major step forward in expanding our welding and advanced manufacturing pathways, and I’m excited to see the opportunities it will create for our students, industry partners, and community.

Donaldson Career Center, Golden Strip Career Center and Enoree Career Center attended our annual welding competition April 25th. The students displayed their talent and all participants were awarded different levels of prizes. We appreciate the partnerships with our Career Centers.
