Dordt University welcomes three new faculty members who bring extensive academic and professional experience to our growing business and engineering programs: Dr. Todd Darnold, Sarah Stiemsma, and Dr. Brock Hedegaard.

With engineering enrollment growing nearly one-third over the past decade and business administration enrollment increasing 27% since 2020, these faculty members will help prepare students for meaningful careers through a Christ-centered education.

Dordt University is proud to name Tom and Sandy Plooy as the recipients of the 2026 Ambassador Award, recognizing their generous commitment to Christian education and Dordt’s mission. 🎓

Through their passion for students, Christian education, and the outdoors, the Plooys helped launch the Rooster Booster Scholarship Fund, which has raised more than $7 million for student scholarships over the past 20 years. Today, more than 70 students receive $3,000 scholarships each year through the fund.
