Our College Project has officially been completed! We finished our project this Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony assisted by our very own Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, the CEO and President of Phi Theta Kappa. Thank you to the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, the Gilchrist Foundation, WITCC faculty, WITCC culinary department, city officials, our chapter members, and the community for making this possible. Our mural is titled “Celebrating Excellence in Education” and is meant to help promote higher education. We are so grateful to have accomplished this, and again, we thank everyone involved in helping with this big project.

Our HIA Project “Stories of Information, Misinformation, and Disinformation Convocation” was a huge success! With over 280 people in attendance, including students and faculty, we were able to help spread awareness of Misinformation and Disinformation online and in the media. We thank our talented speakers for their contributions to educating the public, and we appreciate all the other faculty and staff who helped make this event possible. Our chapter also created activities for attendees to participate in after the speaker panel and luncheon, including “Spot the Real vs. AI Picture” and “Which Article is Information and Which is Disinformation?”, as well as other educational activities. We partnered with our school's Disinformation and Media Analysis club to help create this event, and we thank them for their hard work. We are thrilled that this event was such a tremendous success, and we hope everyone will stay tuned for our upcoming events.

A special thanks as well to Dr. William Darwin Jr. for the wonderful music throughout the night. We look forward to watching our Beta Zeta Mu chapter grow more throughout the school year.
