Kayla and Sebastian both took exams this April, taking FM and MAS-I respectively, pictured are before and after their exams. We are proud to say that Kayla passed FM and while MAS-I does not have instant results, Sebastian feels confident. Both used for this exam and ones they have taken prior, and it has been a HUGE help.
If they were to give any advice to anyone else taking an actuarial exam, it would be this: Read the confirmation email sent to you after you book your exam in detail EVERY TIME you take an exam. While many things stay constant, like Identification to bring, calculators allowed, and any other info, your test location may be changed if you are taking a CAS exam. P and FM count for both CAS and SOA, but are actually run by just the SOA, so when you take an exam for CAS it will be through a new testing center than you may be used to. Sebastian learned this the hard way when he showed up to his usual location, only to find out he was actually meant to be about 10 minutes away in the same town. Thankfully, he made it with one minute to spare, but it’s definitely not how you want to start your exam!
