With some reverse engineering and some 3D printing, we were able to reproduce this manual lathe gear for mere pennies compared to the manufacturer’s cost of $200.

We would’ve been down for days by the time we went thru our purchasing process and waited for the new gear to be shipped to us. But by utilizing our skills and resources, we had a new gear printed in 2.5 hours plus we will have spare gears printed for future break downs.
