Raclin School of the Arts Outreach & Engagement is hiring Student Workers now for fall 2026 semester. These positions can be hourly, work study, or internships.

Writer
Role Summary
Writing for various platforms for Raclin School of the Arts. Work may be used in Aspire magazine, on/in the associated website and newsletter, and social media.
Qualifications
-current enrollment at IU South Bend
-time management and ability to meet deadlines
-solid understanding of writing for various audiences and channels
Responsibilities
-write copy for various sources (i.e. social media posts, flyer event descriptions, short magazine articles, etc.)
-arrange and follow through on interviews
-meet deadlines for drafts and final submissions
-professional behavior while representing the School of the Arts
-research and/or use provided material to write articles
-attend assigned events to review and/or describe
Event Management
Role Summary
Hands-on experience organizing and executing a multi-day event with high attendance. Help with planning logistics, participant communications, and direct event operations. Individuals in this position are expected to be present during operating hours of the event to the extent possible (classes take precedence).
Qualifications

-attention to detail and organization
-reliability
Responsibilities
-clarity and effectiveness in communications through multiple channels, email, phone, written
-record keeping, documentation, and data management
-leadership roles during the event
-professional presentation and behavior
Photographer
Role Summary
Capturing high-quality images for various projects including marketing materials, social media, magazine content, etc. Individuals seeking this role must have their own equipment.
Qualifications
-current enrollment at IU South Bend
-basic understanding of photographic principles and techniques
-experience with basic photo editing
-ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Responsibilities
-communicate effectively with the team and client(s)/event participants
-follow shot-lists and assignment goals
-capture images for different projects and purposes
-basic editing of images
-meet deadlines
