🎓 Join us in celebrating our inspiring Radiography graduate, Skye Growcock, who discovered her own papillary thyroid cancer during an ultrasound presentation and used the experience to change her life! Now cancer-free, Skye is heading to Beacon Granger Hospital as an X-ray/CT technologist to help patients in the very same field that saved her. Congratulations, Skye, and cheers to the Class of 2026! 💙💀🎉
Senior Skye Growcock, a radiography major, discovered how meaningful her field could truly be through a life-changing experience in the program, when she was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer during routine clinical coursework.
"If it wasn't for our ultrasound presentation during the program, I may have never even known my diagnosis until it was far too late. Without IU South Bend, I would not be where and who I am today.”
Now, she will begin her career in medical imaging, helping patients in the same field that impacted her.
After graduation, Skye will work as an X-ray/CT technologist at Beacon Granger Hospital.
Join us in celebrating Skye and the Class of 2026! 🎓
