Ohio Service Dog Awareness Week, July 24-July 30, 2016.

Ohio is the first state in the nation to have Service Dog Awareness Week written into law. Ohio Revised Code 5.241 recognizes the important role service dogs play in the independence and inclusion of Ohioans with disabilities at work, at home and in their communities.

A Service Dog walk has been organized for Friday, July 29, 2016 starting at the Ohio Statehouse, at the corner of Broad and High streets, Columbus.

The walkers and supporters with their service dogs will proceed from the Statehouse to Three Dog Bakery, located in the Short North. Those who would like to participate need to be at the start location by 10:45 a.m. The walk begins at 11 a.m.
