Classmates, yesterday the College announced the decision to discontinue alum email accounts after May 30, 2027. Alums currently serving on a board or as a committee chair will have access to their accounts until the end of their term. Future new alums will have one year after degree conferral. While some of you may not have even opened your MHC account since graduation, others will risk losing access to other web accounts, memories, and important data.

This may not be news many of us wanted to get, but it's important to take action to secure your data and make sure we can contact you. PLEASE update your contact info in the alum directory as soon as possible, and visit LITS' email transition page (linked) on taking next steps to transfer over anything & everything you want to save from your college account. As we plan our 5 year reunion, we want to be sure everyone has access to not only our planning info, but all your wonderful memories of our time at MHC!

Don't get lost, get proactive! 💚

Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 10:00 am Starting in May 2026, MHC Google accounts will be available to new alums for one year after their degree conferral date (more details on finding that date below).  Alums with currently active MHC Google accounts will have access until May 31, 2027. Have you taken our Reunion Personality Quiz? Class Board is already plotting our next reunion, and we want to know all about 2021's unique brand of party. Quiet or bouncy? Sunglasses or bandanas? Scheduled or pure chaos? You decide!

Follow the link in our May 14th email to help us find our class celebration style. Didn't get an email? Double check your contact info in the Alum Association portal to make sure you're up to date (we'll send it out once more soon just to be sure we don't miss you!). We guarantee it's the most fun quiz you've taken since the days of magazine quizzes in hair salons.

Image: pink stars and dotted lines on a light purple background. White text reads, "What kind of Reunier are you? Fill out our Reunion Personality Quiz to help us plan the best 5th Reunion ever!" A pink arrow indicates the next slides, which contain previews of the quiz questions in the same style.

We know many of you have changed both physical & email addresses since graduation. But to make sure you get all of the breaking Reunion news, as well as stay on top of the Class of '21 happenings, we strongly encourage you to log into the Alum Directory and update your contact information (link below).

To update your info:
• Log into the Alum Directory. (If you have not registered or are having issues, there is troubleshooting information on the login page)
•Once you are logged in, click on “My Profile” on the left side (below on mobile)
•Use the drop downs and blue “Edit” buttons in each section to fill in your information. You can fill out as little or as much as you wish, but we strongly recommend updating your email and mailing addresses (we don’t spam - promise!)
•Click save at the bottom for each section, and you’re done!

As many of our fellow alums gather on campus for their own celebrations, we want to remind you that our 5th (!) reunion will take place next Reunion II, May 29-31, 2026! Mark your calendars and dust off your silk scarves because it's going to be a good one.

Keep an eye on your emails and '21 social media for ways to get involved in planning, share ideas and feedback on our last Reunion, and learn about events & important deadlines first. It may be the time of our lives, but we'll owe it all to you and your participation!

C'mon now, everyone! The sixth annual March4MHC Challenge is happening this week, March 6–7, 2025!

Now is the time to support a gender diverse liberal arts HWC education into the future. Last year we came so close to our overall challenge of 5,000 donors, and our class came in clutch to get us there!

To make the event extra spicy, our own Nominating Committee Chair, Emily Carle, has set up a special challenge for 2021 to get 15 classmates to donate. On top of that, a group of anonymous donors has pledged to give $25,000 to the Mount Holyoke Fund for every 250 donors, up to $500,000.

This challenge is a really important part of keeping MHC financially strong for years to come, and it focuses not just on the big bucks but on big participation. Whatever you want to give, you'll be investing in uncommon thinkers of the future, and we're grateful for it. You can give through the GiveCampus link below or in our linktree, where you can also find info about alternative ways to donate (like PayPal, over the phone, etc).

We're all in this together, so let's March4MHC!

Wanna have lunch & talk landscaping Tuesday?
Join us this Tuesday, Jan. 28th (12pm EST) for a zoom update with President Danielle R. Holley about MHC Forward, MHC's new-ish ongoing strategic plan. President Holley will be highlighting something near and dear to every Moho's heart - our fair campus - and the plans for its future outlined in the Comprehensive Campus Plan. Learn about our hashtag campus goals and how you can get involved in making them a reality, and enjoy the (virtual) company of your fellow alums. This is an especially great event to attend if you're a MHC volunteer, but all are welcome & encouraged to stay in the loop. Extra credit if you check out the CCP from the link in our pinned post beforehand!

Register via the link below. See you there!

Ever wish you could just do a Walden Pond and retreat to a hut in the woods to finally get some crafting done? But with other people who understand what it's like to be surrounded by unfinished projects?
The Alum Association is holding a maker retreat on campus this Feb 7-9th. Attend scheduled programming to learn something new, or just sit with fellow alums and work on your projects (on the floor, if you want. We don't judge). Enjoy each other's company while reveling in what you can accomplish with your own brain & hands, all while visiting our beloved camps. Most importantly, it's CATERED so you won't need to cook or clean all weekend. Let the craft times roll! 🎨 🧶 🧵 🪡 🖼️ 🧑‍🎨

Due to limited space, the event is currently limited to alums only. Link to registration (which requires an alum sign in) below.

On Monday, our iconic unofficial mascot, Jorge, took his last flight before slipping the surly bonds of Earth to brush the face of God with downy wing. He leaves behind him the memory of an irrepressible spirit that dared to stand tall, honk loudly, and take up space. Bold, uncompromising, and yet surprisingly fond, Jorge was not universally adored, but that never stopped him. He represented the best of us not because he was the best of us, but because he united a community and reinforced those bonds of commonality that supercede individual differences. Whether you loved Jorge or hated him, he was always our goose. A tyrant to some, a hero to others, and a parent to many generations of the ducks he loved best, his impact on campus and in the spirit of our community cannot be calculated. Despite persistent rumors that Jorge was actually a string of geese, we know he was utterly irreplaceable.
He will be missed.
Fly free, Jorge.
You soar forever in our hearts.

We're still looking for some awesome folks to join us on Class Board for the rest of the '23-'26 term. It takes a range of talents, experiences, and senses of humor to make the work of C-board happen, and we want your perspectives & enthusiasms represented! This is your chance to be in the zoom where it happens, so tell your friends, your former roommate, that crush you never dared talk to before graduation, and then tell yourself the time is now!

Send us a resume at [email protected] to be considered.
