We are proud of Italy Fuentes, a junior BCMB student, who spent the summer conducting research with National Institutes of Health at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. She studied Sjögren's Disease with the salivary disorder research unit. Italy gained lab skills and built professional networks that will serve her well throughout her academic and professional adventures. Great job, Italy! Way to represent HCU at one of the preeminent research centers in the US.
