Another milestone for SDSU Mission Valley!

In partnership with AvalonBay Communities, we’re excited to announce the start of construction on Avalon Mission Valley, the first residential and retail development at SDSU Mission Valley.

The development will bring:
🏠 621 new apartments
🛍️ 30,000 sq. ft. of retail, including a grocery store
🎨 Public art from local artists
🌱Sustainable design targeting LEED Gold Certification

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and SDSU Mission Valley is hosting one of the region’s most inspiring annual events: the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The American Cancer Society event unites survivors, thrivers, caregivers, families and supporters in a powerful show of solidarity and hope. The CSU Board of Trustees certified the environmental impact report for the Fenton Parkway Bridge. In partnership with the City of San Diego, SDSU will now pursue state and federal permits to allow for the construction of the Fenton Parkway Bridge, which will extend Fenton Parkway over the San Diego River to Camino del Rio North. Construction is planned to begin in 2026.
